We used Childproofers and felt like we did the right thing by bringing someone in to look at things. Be prepared to lay out a pretty penny for childproofing items such as gates and the like, and know that they will try to sell you on as many items as possible. Also, installation took quite a bit longer than we anticipated, as the owner herself does all installations.
