CodeReady is a statewide initiative designed to help Minnesotans make preparations in the event of a major emergency. Ok…so I usually see the world through rose-colored glasses, but once you have kids, you begin to worry about EVERYTHING. This awesome website helps you prepare for every possible emergency you can think of (ok…maybe not a diaper blow-out, but you can handle that one). Emergencies include everything from weather related catastrophes and fire evacuation plans to acts of terrorism.

Use this website to (1) create a family emergency plan and discuss it with all family members, and (2) build a kit so you are able to be self-sufficient for 72 hours after an emergency.

The site is easy to navigate…give it a whirl…you’ll sleep better tonight!
