This is a great, hands-on volunteer opportunity to help children around the world. This organization welcomes individuals, families and organizations to pack nutritious meal packages to be sent to starving and malnourished children around the world. While there, you’ll work assembly-style to pack baggies of rice, soy nuggets and dehydrated vegetables. A single bag of food (which provides meals for six children) costs 90 cents to produce, and 94 percent of all contributions to Feed My Starving Children go directly toward the cost of the food program. There is no fee to volunteer and no appointment is necessary, although large groups are asked to call ahead.

This is a great activity to do with your girl and boyscout troups.

It’s also a great and easy thing to do with a confirmation class after you are done. You will really feel great that you did something so big for someone around the world.
