Kelley Park is a 2.5 acre urban park containing the city’s only splash pad and water play area (think giant sprinklers). The park also has a large play structure, gazebo, topiaries and ornamental sculptures. There is lots of room to settle on the large lawns, relax, picnic and watch the kids play in the splash pad. Street parking is available on all sides of the park. Portable potties are also on site (with plans for permanent facilities in the future). Since the park is new, there is virtually no shade, so bring lots of sunscreen. Our young children LOVED this park….the splash pad is very interactive and fun. It can get a bit busy, so go early. The park and splash pad are FREE!
If you need a close lunch spot, travel across the street to La Luz…a very family friendly café with a SUPER yummy and affordable kids menu! La Luz will even deliver lunch to Kelley Park for you at 11:30am, if you call them by 11:00!
