Music Together is an internationally acclaimed music and movement program for children from birth through five with accompanying adults. Both children and adults will enjoy the wide range of musical activities and hands-on opportunities that are incorporated into each class. Expect to share songs, play rhythm instruments, chant rhythms and actively move/dance in a relaxed, playful, and non-performance-oriented setting.
The program has a highly developed and varied curriculum, which allows you to continue to register your children for ongoing classes and still expose them to new music and skills throughout their development. It is a well researched program that recognizes that children five and under learn best through play, so class is fun for everyone involved. The research shows that the structure and content of Music Together helps children develop social, emotional, physical, cognitive AND music skills simultaneously while having fun.
The classes are mixed-age, from birth through kindergarten, so siblings/families can participate together. The cost for a 10 week session is approximately $160, which includes family take-home materials: two matching CDs of the current song collection, a songbook, and a guide to understanding early childhood music development. The program offers discounted tuition of $90 for additional siblings over 8 months of age. (Infant siblings 8 months and under of a registered child attend for FREE). A free demonstration class is available by appointment.
Music Together’s ten-week sessions begin in September, January and March and a shorter (and less expensive!) summer session begins in June.
