Located on the St. Paul Campus of the U of M, this is a great museum/zoo of sorts for kids. You can see raptors that are being nursed back to health in an effort to release them back into the wild. Many of these events are free and you can visit any day, except for Monday.
The Raptors of Minnesota Program is presented from 1-2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday (except on holidays and days The Raptor Center is hosting a special event). Meet a variety of live raptors and learn what you can do to help the environment, too. The program includes a tour of The Raptor Center and the outdoor housing area, which is home to about 30 education raptors. To register, call 612-624-9753.
