What’s a Segway? Think of it as an upright, motorized scooter…This tour will definitely appeal to kids ages 13 and older! Every Magical History Tour starts with training on how to operate a Segway safely and then continues with a 5-7 mile guided history tour.  The whole experience lasts around 3 hours and includes a stop for refreshments at the Mill City Museum and these additional historical sites:

St. Anthony Main

The Stone Arch Bridge

Upper Lock and Dam

Hennepin Ave Bridge

Mill Ruins Park

St. Anthony Falls

Mill City Museum

Gateway Park

Saw Mill District

Boom Island

Nicollet Island

Ages 13-80 are welcome with a weight restriction of 280 lbs.  All riders are required to wear helmets.

Anyone under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a legal/parental guardian during the entire duration of the tour.

Tours start at about $65 per person.

I took my daughter on this tour….we both L-O-V-E-D it!. The segways are easy to operate. The tour guides are friendly. The tour was fabulous, entertaining and I learned a lot about the history of the area. We all stopped for refreshments at the Mill City Museum and were on our way again. Although the tour is a little pricey, we definitely felt we got our moneys worth. We will definitely go again…..maybe on Mom’s birthday next time!
