The Walker Art Center is one of the gems of the Twin Cities. In addition to exposing your children to fantastic art, the museum hosts a variety of programs and events for children and their families.
The first Saturday of each month is FREE for kids and families and there are many family activities planned on these days from 10am-3pm. You’ll find crafts, story times, demonstrations and other family-fun activities on these days.
Also, check out their Arty Pants program on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 11am-1pm for parents and children ages 3-5. The ongoing program offers art projects, tours, films and story readings. Regular admission rates apply.
Be sure to check out the museum’s website for additional family events and for classes for children as young as 3 years of age.
