The Twin City Model Railroad Museum is a non-profit organization composed of over 100 members who volunteer their time, money and skills to bring you a scale model panorama of railroading in the United States during its heyday in the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s. They also have two Thomas the Tank Engine tables that children can play with. Kids 5 and under are FREE and admission for older folks is $5 per person (the museum also offers family admission caps). Avoid Tuesday evenings, as this is when repairs are done and the trains might not be in motion! Closed Mondays.
The museum also hosts special displays around the holidays. Your family can view Night Trains on Saturday evenings from 6-9pm. Enjoy the special lighted models of vintage passenger trains with detailed interiors while the museum is decked out for the holidays. You can also view their Christmas Train Show, featuring trains amidst a lighted Christmas village.
